Eddy Current Test Systems
Guarantee your component quality through the use of a PECo Eddy Current Test Machine. Our engineering team will work with you to design a system that will ensure component quality, reduce inspection time, and ultimately reduce your warranty costs – adding money to your bottom line.
Eddy Current Test Machines detect variations in alloy, heat treatment (hardness, case depth, temper etc.), structure, and other physical and metallurgical conditions. They can also sort metal and detect surface and sub-surface cracks. Eddy Current testing is typically performed on components that have been subjected to forming, machining, heat treating, welding, or finishing operations.
PECo integrates specialized Eddy Current Test equipment from manufacturers such as Andec, GE Inspection Technologies, IBG, and Zetec into high throughput automatic testing machines with cycle times as low as 5 seconds. These machines can be integrated into an existing production line or manufactured as an element of a new line. For more information on PECo's automation capability, please see Automatic Assembly Systems.
An Eddy Current Test Machine approves or rejects each component based upon your requirements. Test results can be stored so they are available to protect you in the event of a warranty claim. (Note: if you combine an Eddy Current Test System with a PECoMARK Marking and Traceability System, each individual part can be tracked to both a picture and test data.)
