Leak Test Systems

PECo Leak Test Machines use pressure decay or mass flow testing to quickly check for leaks in components that have relatively small volumes. Pressure decay testing involves pressurizing a component with air and monitoring the pressure for negative changes. Any pressure drop indicates a leak. Mass flow testing utilizes air flow to detect variations in part geometry tolerancing. Any result outside the predetermined set points indicates the part is out of tolerance. PECo Leak Test Machines are designed to present the component to the tester, test the component and, based on the leak test results, return the part to the production process or "reject" it to a quarantined area.

 

PECo integrates specialized Leak Test equipment from manufacturers such as ATEQ, Cosmo, Omega, Nolek, Sierra, USON and others into high throughput automatic testing machines with cycle times less than 5 seconds. These machines can be integrated into an existing production line or manufactured as an element of a new line. A Leak Test Machine approves or rejects each component based upon your requirements. Test results can be stored so they are available to protect you in the event of a warranty claim. (Note: if you combine a Leak Test System with a PECoMARK Marking and Traceability System, each individual part can be tracked to both a picture and test data.)
